Umm, were you at the opposite ends of the country, together, at the same time? Or did you marry via telephone while at opposite ends of the country?

parental pressure prevented an early wedding, but they did, at least, allow us to meet for the wedding itself ....

Zelda - What wonderful news!! Congratulations! I'll keep my fingers crossed that more work comes your way so that you can buy oodles of books or a really tricked out netbook! It's a tough life right now for contractors (at least, I know it is working for the US gov, they're cutting back right and left (well, mostly right )). It's great to hear some good news when the media only seems to give us the bad! Gives you hope for the future!!

GeoffC - Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! It's so nice to hear that couples are hanging in there for the long haul!! It gives the rest of us hope. May you have many, many more wonderful years together!

MY LOAN FINALLY GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEE!

A little background: I've been looking at this house for over a year. First broker quit/got fired while running my credit, I switched jobs, then second broker couldn't get me a loan (house is not Fannie Mae approved). Third time is a charm They said I could close as soon as next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, I've been living at home with my family. See why I need a house so badly?

GREAT NEWS!! CONGRATULATIONS! There is nothing like home ownership, leaky plumbing, mowing the lawn, noisy appliances, etc., etc., etc.

Just kidding!! I love having my own home (well, the bank actually owns it but they let me live here for a small (large) fee ).
