You have to be careful what you read on the internet.
After a hurricane, a guy came in to a chat room claiming that a pawn shop had stolen his stuff because the store was closed. Had the guy either looked on the door, looked on the website or called one of the other same name shops in the area, he would have found or been given an 800 number to find out when and where he could either get his stuff back or the cash value of it. He thought by claiming they stole it on the internet, he would force the company to give him some money.
Note: every one of that pawn shop stores had the number in case someone called.

So the moral of the story is: 99% of the time when you read a company did this to me, it is usually because of something the person did.
With the exception of Wells Fargo who charged me a late fee because the statement showed clearly that it ran from the 11th to the 10th. I knew this I paid that statement's bill on the 7/12. I paid the next month's statement on the 8/11 since I knew that was the first day. For some reason they put the August payment on the July statement. Did not know this until I got the next statement saying I had not made the August payment. It clearly showed the statement ended on the 10th but the 11th payment was there. We tried talking to them. On the phone, no you didn't make a payment. At the bank, sorry we can loan you a phone to call them. Needless to say we paid it off and will not do business with any company that uses Wells Fargo for their credit cards.

Well that was quick. A $300 gift card was added to my account! I can use it for any physical product. She verified that I should not have been charged for the replacement. She said that the reps that did all that crap will be "coached accordingly".

The price of the phone is now ridiculously high, and I won't purchase at that high of a price because I don't want Amazon to think people would actually pay that much. I got it for $449 on prime day, and on 7-31 it was $499 so the price should go down again. It's currently $682, and that's close to the highest price ever.

If it was me and I was charged a second time, I'd want to money back to the card used to buy the phone and not a credit. Unless this is $300 above abd beyond the charge for the second phone and in that case, congratulations.

I got a refund for both phones, which added to the problem. The original order wasn't supposed to be refunded, and that's why the reps didn't want to give me the original price. The email said that they have various policies for pricing, but since none of this was my fault they should have made an exception.

When I received the second wrong model, I was told that they were going to research the problem and that they would send me the correct phone. It was supposed to take a week.
