Amazon has really confused things this year by offering multiple promos for the same items.

Wow, I didn't realize how screwy they were doing it! Uber confusing having multiple listings. Seems like it would be better to have one listing but with additional discounts listed for optional purchasing. But oh well, we are talking about Amazon whose motto is, "Why be intuitive when you can confuse the heck out of everyone."

On CNN they said a while ago that they had some issues on Amazon with the checkouts.

I just ordered my FireTV and I'll get it by noon. . I added it to my prime now order I was already going to place for some produce I need. I didn't even know they had it on sale there too.

This is a nightmare compared to last year. Just wait until Black Friday rolls around when they do this all over again. They want Prime members, so that'll be a deal. They want Prime Now customers, so that'll be a different deal. Then add Alexa customers for another different deal.

Their customer base is being fragmented all over the place

I am just talking about regular prime now orders. I never really checked how many amazon devices they have in stock for 2 hour free delivery. I wasn't eligible for that first time order prime now offer, but just got the fireTV at its prime price of 69.99. So for those that have Prime Now in their city and want a device or TV that happens to be in stock at their local prime now place, they don't have to wait.

It is a bit confusing overall, but reading ahead of time, I already knew what I was and wasn't eligible for. So I knew the Alexa ordering wasn't for me, the Prime Now $10 wasn't for me. It helps to plan ahead a bit on these things. Make a list.
You helped a lot with your detailed and easy to read posts over the last few days and the links to the offer, so I could make a list of what I had my eye on and what I really wanted.

Now that I know that the KU subscription can bee tacked on to a already existing one, I might get a year of that later on too.

Yes Atunah, it helps to plan ahead. But on the other hand, Amazon did not even show the Echo in the list of items that would be on sale today. I checked early last night to see if it would be on sale, but I saw no indication that it would as it was not listed in the upcoming deals. But since Amazon has squirreled away listings all over the damn place, it might have been in another deal list somewhere. I assumed it was not going to be included. This morning I quickly checked the Amazon Devices deals page and the Echo was listed, so I grabbed one. Luckily they had plenty available or I would have missed out.

My view is that if a retailer is going to have a sale, then great, but make it easy to discover what is on sale and when and for how much. Last year I spent a couple of hours searching through page after page of deals just to find that nothing really interested me. If Amazon makes it difficult to find items, then they are shooting themselves in the feet. Some people will shop until they drop, but for me and every guy I know we hate that! We want to find the item, make the deal, and then get on with life as quickly as possible. If guys like me cannot quickly locate a good deal, they are likely to say "the heck with it" and move on. I don't think Amazon understands the "me Tarzan, me have no time to search for sale items all day" mentality, but they need to understand it.

But they want you to go all over the site. More stuff to put in front of your eyeballs. . Like the grocery store when they make you walk all the way to the other side to get what you need and keep you on your toes moving stuff around in the store every few weeks so you have to zig zag all over the darn place. Then you get to the register and wonder where all that stuff in your cart came from.

But yeah, the more places someone clicks around on Amazon, the more chances they might see something they add to the order as a impulse buy.

You spend more time on their site, they win. They sell more fireTV's, Fire's, kindles where you go on buying more amazon stuff, they win.

I know all this and still buy amazon stuff.

Glad you're getting things you want. For me, this day's been pretty much a bust.

I qualified for the Alexa promo, the Gift Card promo, and the KU promo. I got the gift card. The other two had nothing I was interested in.

I didn't qualify for the Amz Prime Card promo, the Audible promo, and the Prime Now promo, because I've used these before. Since I don't have the Amz Visa Card, that promo was also a no go.

LOL! Yep, I was going to say that Tarzan might talk Cheeta into doing the shopping except that Cheeta is probably too busy throwing stuff at other animals in the jungle.

I have the Amazon Visa card from Chase, but I don't appear to have qualified for any of the extra deals. I did have about $9 in points built up though, and used them on the Echo purchase. But I could have used those points on any card purchase any time--so that wasn't really a deal as such.

The Fire TV Antenna Bundle is now sold out. Also, the Amazon Tap is sold out on the Prime Now page, but still available on the main Prime page.

That is weird with audible. I used 3 month free before sometime last year or in 2014 and it let me get it again this time around - the 3 months free.
