I took a quick look around while I was in SA, and found a couple of other recent mystery titles, these by Susan Rogers Cooper, for about R 38.30 after tax = about US$ 2.40. Current US Kindle price for each is $6.15.

The Rebecca Schwartz Complete Set: Five Funny Cozy Mysteries contains (you guessed it) all five Rebecca Schwartz mysteries by Julie Smith, originally published in the 1980's and 1990's. Smith has been one of the most prolific e-publishers of her own backlist via her own booksbnimble press - IMS at one point there was a thread dedicated just to her books when they went on sale/free. So, many of us may already have most or all of these five books, but if not, the 5 book set is $0.99 on US Kindle Countdown for the next 3 1/4 days.

Per an email this morning from e-publisher Le French Book, Laurent Guillaume's White Leopard is on sale this week for $0.99 at Amazon US. It was also briefly on sale back at the end of last year.

Le French Book's specializes in translating French mysteries; from their website:

Bringing France's best mysteries, thrillers, and short stories to new readers across the English-speaking world. If we love it, we’ll translate it.

I have read a few of their other translated mysteries and enjoyed them, but haven't read this one, which looks a little more thriller-ish than mystery-ish, although it's pretty high on my TBR list. I'm a huge Francophile, so YMMV, and also note this is set in the former French colony of Mali, not in France itself.
