I've only got one problem with my Windows 10 machine, and that's that the "Search" facility in "Settings" doesn't work. It always says "Search results aren't ready yet, try again in a few minutes. A Google search shows that I'm not alone in this. I've tried all the suggested fixes, but no joy. No big deal - I know where all the settings options are, so I don't need the search. Some people report that the issue spontaneously fixes itself after a random period of time.

Hi, my name is Kelly and I'm new to MobileRead, I noticed this forum and thought I'd comment.....I've been using Windows 10 for quite awhile now and actually enjoyed it then out of the blue 2 wks ago my Adobe Digital Editions just stopped working. I had it up and reading a book in the afternoon, by night when I tried opening it back up again it wouldn't open, the little blue circle spins and spins and you can tell it's trying to open Digital Editions but to no avail. not quite sure what happened but I do know others have been having this exact same issue and seem to think there's a bug on either Adobe's side or Window 10's side....any of you guys' who have upgraded and are using Adobe Digital Editions run into the same issue??

My Surface 3 went to John Lewis today, they are going to send it away to Microsoft to see if they can (or will) fix my issues. Based on my experience of online support I don't have a lot of faith.

John Lewis have 'asked' for a clean install of Windows 10. It came with 8 and I upgraded to 10 and they think that's what's causing all my problems even though I have had to do two factory resets. I can only hope.

Yes, good luck. From my experience it sounds like you have a bad device or something is messed up with the install somewhere. I use my Surface 3 extensively and I have had few issues with Win 10 upgraded from 8.1. It would be reaaalllyyyy frustrating to have the issues you're having.

I am using AD 2.0.1 with Windows 10 64-bit Home and Windows 10 64-bit Pro. I've had ADE not open once and a reboot solved the problem.

Delete the task folder in the My Digital Editions folder. It will recreate a new one on next start.

UPDATE! Well about 6 months ago I came on here and asked how to go back to Win 8.1 I was told to Go Back To Factory! Well I told my son he didn't want to. So ALL these months of his griping & cussing the PC. Win 10 did an update a week ago & Really messed his PC up! Today after much Headaches he finally took it Back to Factory!!! WAHOO now maybe I get some peace....sigh

... and my "Settings" search has suddenly started working . Does that means that it's taken a week to index all the files on my PC, I wonder, or it just spontaneously decided that it would work? I'll keep an eye on it and see whether or not it stays working!

I do have several hundred GB of files on my PC (Calibre library, iTunes library, etc) so perhaps it really did take a week to index it all! My PC arrived on Wednesday of last week, and I was away over Easter, so in reality it was only switched on for about 3 days before it started working. I suppose it's feasible that that was the cause.
