Click on the "Kindle Unlimited" banner on the front page, you'll notice the search box shows "Kindle Unlimited". Then you can search the selection.

I'm not impressed at all with the selection. Nothing on my wish list in the list. For fantasy/sci-fi it looks like 85% self-published stuff / small publishers. I felt like I was browsing a list of self-published urban fantasy and vampire stories.

There's a free 30 day trial, which I jumped on. So far, it's easy to use. I've already found several books to read. There is a 10-at-time limit, like most libraries.

As folks shift to the new Kindle Unlimited, it will force down prices for eBooks not included in the plan. Thus, it will help even non-users of the plan.

If the plan included ALL eBooks carried by Amazon, then I'd probably sign up. It appears none of the eBooks I've read in the past year are included in the plan although there is no way to be sure since I haven't figured any way to search the plan by specific eBook titles.

This plan is especially suited for avid fiction readers. It allows 10 eBooks to be taken at one time.

I've found a bunch of Andre Norton books in sci-fi, so that makes me happy. There's also a few Timothy Zahn books.

EDIT: Kindle for PC needs to be deliberately selected for delivery. Automatic delivery doesn't do it. Clicking the Deliver to Other Device button will make it deliver to PC though.

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but verification would be nice.
Answer is yes. Checked out second book (2010) directly from my Kindle 4. Able to read it on my K4 while reading 2001 on my Nexus 7.

Search for the ebook you want, and if it's in KU there will be a Kindle Unlimited logo below the title and above the Kindle Edition price.

Authors I've found:
Andre Norton
Hugh Howey
Ian Fleming
Timothy Zahn

That search is for ALL Amaxon eBooks

That search box looks at ALL Amazon eBooks - not just those within Kindle Unlimited.

Also, the details of each eBook does not yet show availability for Kindle Unlimited.

Maybe those features have yet to be implemented.

My favorite eBooks are not covered.

That is the problem with sub services.

So far, it seems good for less popular fiction titles from well-known authors and popular indie books. It looks like Macmillan isn't on board.

I tend to find a good author and read most of their books. Backlist titles from favorite authors makes this a good deal for me. It probably doesn't work for other reading styles.

As in author pricing their ebooks $0.99? And how much more would they have earned if Amazon had adopted Oyster's compensation model?
As in authors with books in the $2.99-$3.99 range.
As in getting more than a 60% cut and occasionally over 70%.

For those that like Oyster and Scribd, good for you. Enjoy the service. Now lets see if their model is still working three years from now. It is a great thing to see different models slugging it out to see which model works best.

Whatever anybody may say about Amazon's pool model, it has survived and grown from 100K to over half a million despite insisting on exclusivity. So obviously the authors are satisfied or they would have defected.

Be careful if you clicked on the video discussing the service--in fine print below it says if you click, you are signing up!!! You'll get the free trial that turns into a paid sub and might not figure that out for a while...

Ah hah. Have to go to the Kindle Unlimited page to get that option. Just trying to select it in the search box dropdown doesn't work.

Enter the title in the search box on the Kindle Unlimited page. It only returns KU titles.
