Little Brown has a few publisher specials for Australia and New Zealand. The prices are not very special compared to the UK/US prices, but I thought I'd post because Little Brown's normal Au/NZ prices are so absurdly high, and it is unusual to see them discounted here. (Prices in local dollars):

Ann Leckie, Ancillary Justice, $4.99
Hannu Rajaniemi, The Quantum Thief, $4.99

Edit: Actually Hannu Rajaniemi is published by Orion, but it's still Hachette so comments about price and discounts still apply.

I read Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor a couple of days ago, and enjoyed it quite a bit. Went to look at reviews of book two, and saw that both 1&2 are available as free downloads from Goodreads(epub). I'm not sure if you have to be logged in or not the see the download ebook link. They can also be read online if you want.

I wasn't sure if I'd read book 2 or not. Book 1 is good, but it went darker than I like so I was thinking I'd just pass on book 2. But when it's FREE, it's harder to pass up. And I need more books. No, REALLY.

That's from back when they weren't connected to Amazon. They had plans to sell books. I uploaded Under Witch Moon for sale there and had filled out all the forms and so on. It was probably a month? or two? later that I got a notice that only "free" books would be uploaded from that point on. They only had support for Epub and I think that the whole program stagnated after Amazon bought them. I was surprised anyone bothered to upload a file there. I know you can still give your stuff away, but I don't think many people use it and their 'metrics' and reporting is pretty, well it's almost non-existent.

Few people even know they had a download program, although I did sell one copy before they pulled the plug on selling. It's this odd remnant hanging there.
