@Tanja , you need comma's at the end of the contains clauses except the last one.

Thnx.
Do any of you know how I keep the original epub after I've polished it? And not as "original_epub". |

@Tanjamuse - I prefer not to have any original_xxxx formats in the library book folders because they confuse me. If I want to keep the True Original I keep it outside of the library with its original name and any DRM and put a link to it in my Notes column.
If I want to save a copy of a what's there now while I'm doing something like Polish, Modify, Embed, Edit etc -- in case I make a mistake -- I Send [the relevant format file] To the desktop, from the book folder. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 09-15-2014 at 12:30 PM. |

I don't suppose you know if there's a way to keep two covers for the same book?

@Tanjamuse - Not in the Book Folder itself.
You can put a link to an image in Comments (or similar) but be aware it will display full size - click the last icon in the second group ==>> You can browse to an image on your computer or paste in a web URL and tick the 'this is an image' box There maybe a way to resize the image to fit available width/height of the Book Details display area - but I have no idea what that would be. Note there are 2 book details display areas to consider - 1. the one on the left which would need to resize according to width, 2. the one on the bottom which would need to resize according to height. I would suggest the one in the free standing Book Details (behind the 'i' key) always display the image full size. BR |

When I polish a book, how I can decide what Metadata will be added to the book jacket?

@Tanjamuse - You can customise the book jacket, first see this ==>> Overriding icons, templates, et cetera
The resource you need to copy to your configuration folder is the folder called jacket, it has two files stylesheet.css and template.xhtml that you'll need to edit, but first you'll need to turn off the trheir Read Only attributes. You will find it easier if you use an advanced text editor such as Notepad++ I am not aware of a comprehensive guide to jacket creation, there are helpful comments in the two files in the jacket folder, and do a search for 'jacket' in the calibre forum. IIRC members Hoods7070 and jecilop have created some recent threads about jackets. BR |

Do you have a column called #fandoms? Are you looking for the count of items in this column? If so, is it a "Text, like tags" column? If so, then a template that gives the count of items in that column is Code:
{#fandoms:count(,)} Code:
program: count(field('#fandoms'), ',') |

I think I managed to confuse myself as well
![]() I already have a custom column that counts the amount of fanfictions, but I would like for cover purposes to have some sort of word to link to a certain cover. I tried the following but I don't seem to have much luck with templates/coding today ![]() Quote:

I think you want:
Code:
program: cmp( raw_field('#number_fandoms'), 2, 'single-fandom', 'two-fandoms', 'three-or-more-fandoms' ) cmp requires "lt, eq, gt" values, not just "gt" -- that is where you went wrong. |

Um, I am pretty sure the brand-new Generate cover feature (from Edit Metadata, I assume we are talking about the same thing) just uses regular old templates...
