Looking at both books on Amazon it says "special authors cut edition". I wonder what that means?? I love Jo Goodman but this makes me nervous.

This is an audiobook, not ebook, but it's a pretty good deal so I figured I'd post anyway. For those who might be interested, Mystery Man by Kristen Ashley is on sale for $5.95 at Audible.
(I personally did not like the narrator, Kate Russell, at all, but I seem to be in the very small minority. )

Read the first Goodreads review and I think that tells you why the author deleted certain scenes. Oddly I can't find a listing for the original print version of this book on Amazon. I wonder if the book was retitled.

Yes they were. Defiant Heart was Midnight Princess and His Heart's Revenge was Passion's Sweet Revenge. Both from Zebra 1989, 1990. I bought these last week, 2 of few older ones I hadn't already read.

Thanks. I'm going to get them because I really like JG, but I do wish she hadn't rewritten anything.

Nope it made no sense to me either. My Library has these so you can check Overdrive first if you are leery. I own the paperbacks of the originals. It's sad when a book finally goes digitally and you don't know what has changed. It means I can never replace them with ebooks because they are not 1:1 versions.

I was able to get the audiobook for A Breath of Snow and Ashes at a discounted price of $4.99 through Audible (actually free since I got the recent $10 credit deal ) Although I don't own the book, since I checked it out a while ago through Overdrive, it's in my Kindle library and that apparently means I'm eligible for a discount.

I am thinking about creating libraries in calibre by either genre or alphabetically. Anyone have an opinion on this?

If you use virtual libraries and tags and you really don't need a new library. This is the method I use.

As I don't keep my main library in calibre, I don't libraries by genre but I have quite a lot of different libraries for many endings, and I like them.

I'd probably go by genre, alphabetically makes less sense to me.
