Maybe it's a dialect thing? I still can see no problem with it. Either way, though, you know what I meant now.

I had the same experience with Fairfax. I think most of the US libraries seem to use the same payment gateway. I emailed the library who tried but were unable to help. I was on the verge of giving up and trying to organise some other alternative when I stumbled upon the answer.

The form asks for an address. Rather than completing the full address I tried just putting the suburb and the postcode and the payment finally went through. Give it a try. I would be interested if this works for you.

Thanks for the tip. This payment form is globalgatewaye4.firstdata.com, and it doesn't have an address field at all - just name, cc number, cvv, expiry. It doesn't even work when I log in from a USA IP address with a VPN.

Sorry it didn't work out. Fairfax uses a portal called SmartPay, which accepts only Visa and Mastercard, and it did accept my Australian issued card. Eventually. When I was having problems I searched on it and the results included quite a few US libraries so I thought it would be worth a try.

I got so frustrated with SmartPay that I even tried the transaction on my mobile simply to eliminate the possibility that it was some peculiarity about my network or computer. That may be worth a try.

First Data seem to market their product as an international solution, so it would be strange for them to not accept non-US cards. Not impossible of course.

Good luck.

It could be your card company blocking the purchase. I would check with them. Even if your card is good for overseas purchases they might have an approved merchants list so they might be declining FLP thinking it's fraud.

ocls.info seems to be geo-blocking as of late. I tried to log in to my account, but got "ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED", and my email to comments@ocls.info could not be delivered (Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=ocls.info type=MX: Host not found, try again). When I tried with VPN, ocls.info displayed as usual. I renewed my library card in June for a year (at $125) and I hope i can keep using my account.

It may be a server issue as Florida is experiencing a major hurricane.

Are you still having problems? I just logged in without any difficulty and have no problem borrowing items from Overdrive.

I can borrow books from ocls.overdrive.com, but I cannot open ocls.info. If I want to log in to my OCLS account, I have to use VPN. It's not a big problem at the moment, since I renewed in June for one year, it's just something I noticed recently. My email to comments@ocls.info could not be delivered (Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=ocls.info type=MX: Host not found, try again). So I don't think it's a server issue...

The thing is, the overdrive.com link is the correct link. All the links I use are using overdrive.com. I think the ocls.info address is just not correct.

I think you should check your system. I've just accessed from Spain without VPN, so no geoblocking there, at least from my country.

Thanks, Terisa. Maybe it's my DNS server. I'll have to look into that.

I can also access the ocls.info from overseas without a VPN. It could be that your IP is blocking the site.
