Stephen King's The Shining and Doctor Sleep are $1.99 each at Amazon. The latter is also on sale at B&N.

In what looks like an annual event, two of Kim Harrison's "Hollows" books (For a Few Demons More and White Witch, Black Curse - books 5 and 7) are $1.99 across the board; I remember getting book 4 on sale last December. Amazon, B&N, and Kobo all show the reduction, which makes me think it's a publisher promotion.

Raymond Feist posted on his FB wall - his last 5 books (2 Demonwar and 3 Chaoswar) are on sale for $1.99 @ Amazon.com.

Grabbed 'em...still haven't read Magician's End. Will have to wait until later tonight to convert for my Nook though. I always like to re-read a whole series each time a new book comes out but given the size of the Riftwar books I'll be OK with the last 5. I read a good hunk of it again last year anyway.

The Nook UK store says the same thing as the US store when you purchase a book: that any gift cards in your account will be applied first, then any remaining balance will be taken from the credit card on file.

I've given up trying to talk to them. Their deal of the day broke months ago: it still displays nearly daily, but links to random search pages instead of a book and the book displayed on the front page as the daily deal apparently is never sold by them, as any search for it will find nothing. All they say is that things break, people are working on it...

It's their front page!

I mean, take the daily deal widget off the page if they don't have those books available (or pick books they do have for sale).
