I wish there was an Amazon Kindle decal of some sort that I could affix/rub on to the front of my Kindle's skin. I somewhat tire of various people asking me what I have when I'm reading my Kindle in public. If my skin actually had the Amazon Kindle logo stamped/rubbed/stuck on it where the logo is on the actual shell of the device, it would be more self-explanatory that way.

Why not just cut out the part of the cover that hides the Kindle sign? Seeing as it is Amazon's logo, I don't think another company would be able to produce something like that. Personally, I prefer that the "Kindle" sign is hidden. It pretty much makes you a bigger target for theft.

well, dang it. I got a new DecalGirl skin (solid state black w/ matte) to put on my replacement Kindle 2 since my previous Kindle was damaged... and I messed up my skin putting it on.

Let me advise everyone that DecalGirl skins stretch a bit, so when you put it on, you have to restrain yourself from pulling it back up repeatedly, or else it will stretch out of shape. In the end, I had to exacto knife it in two places to get it to fit, but my wife says it's not that noticeable. Good thing it didn't have a pattern.

And to think that I've put DecalGirl skins on Kindle 2's TWICE BEFORE and had no problems...

I think the matte is tighter than the gloss. I noticed with it this time that I felt I should have pulled on it and didn't and ended up with a tiny bit of white border. maybe they should put that in their instructions; "pull slightly when applying..."

hi newbie here

i just want to say that i love decalgirl skins especially the matte. I already have the violet tranquility but the left corner has lost its stickiness a little bit already although it is not that noticeable. I want to buy a custom one though and I already asked them on how much it would cost. I hope it's the same as the ones they have on the site.

I searched and actually only one message (mine from Dec) asked (I searched for remov, removing, removal).

I purchased an Invisible Defender Nokey but have it sitting on my desk. I am wondering if they can be removed without leaving behind a sticky residue (or pulling off the key labels). If residue was left behind, I would be reluctant to use any kind of adhesive removal chemical on the graphite k3.

I have a graphite K3 (couldn't get the white is Oz) and I am sure you are

going to know what the problem is. The lettering on the keyboard is faded,

and my eyes are not the sharpest that they have ever been.

Do the decals cover the keyboard? Which supplier does sell decals that

cover the keyboard?

both skinit and DecalGirl covers do cover the keyboard. but! as far as I know neither of them have special covers with the keys identified on the stickers. their intention is that you pull all of the individual stickies off of the keys. on my last application of a cover I left all but the unique keys to the kindle on, so that just the special keys such as the font key is exposed (I have a K2). the next time I do it, I will take a sharpy to the key covers so that they will be visible? will they stay on? who knows, but it will be an interesting experiment. I wonder if DecalGirl especially might not make a custom cover showing the keys as they seem to be very responsive to special requests
