From the field boundary, wild raspberries (smaller than the cultivated, but sweeter!), these will be melded with a large quantity of blueberries (from the polytunnel), sugar and vegan cream, by our Gorgeous Daughter into the most scrumptiously - fruit - laden - ice cream you will ever taste ! ..... aided, of course, by an ice cream maker.

Cannot wait for supper tonight !!!!

I'm back home, yay!!! And the plants are still alive, although the one with the SW exposure suffered a bit from the sun, or from my previous bad treatments maybe (I moved it and added more support sticks - which don't work very well due to the sloppy way it was done

). Lots of tomatoes but none ripe yet. Maybe the concierge took the ripe ones, I had told her to. I have no idea how long it takes for a cherry tomato to turn from green to red.

Something's eating our basil. I suspect caterpillars, abseiling down from the tree above on their own self-produced rope. We've lots of little, furry caterpillars around at the moment. I've moved that garden box, down to the bit just off the bottom balcony. It'll get more sun there too (too hot for summer, but for now, fine).

Maybe you should try eating the caterpillars. They will taste of basil

I just ate my first windowsill grown cherry tomato. Delicious! Two more should be ready by dinner or breakfast tomorrow
