I don't think that blurb really captures the appeal of these books. I don't read much mil-SF, but these are fast-paced and action-heavy without skimping on thoughtful extrapolation and speculation.

This volume includes the original magazine versions of stories that were later re-written and turned into the classic novel City.

Other offers this month include bundles with a collection by Niven, Limits, and a few Heinlein books. Since I have all of them already, I stuck to the free book.
