First, thank you so much for creating a recipe for the New Zealand Herald. Now I ask, is it possible for you to create a recipe for Stuff.co.nz, and maybe even the Dominion Post?

And also, the "Unknown" category probably isn't the most logical place to put the Herald, "English" would be more appropriate, and if you do Stuff and Dominion you may like to create a new NZ category.

Again though, thanks heaps for including the NZ Herald.

Hi guys,

i'm using a sony PRS600 as well, updated the firwmare recently and set my default Calibre output to .lrf (attached in the last message) which normally doesn't give me any problems with any recipe.

if i'm not getting it wrong, the lrf is the sony proprietary format.
when i started using calibre i came across a document (can't remember if it was the forum, the manual or the wiki anymore and can't find it again) which was saying that the sony reader was a little temperamental with epub, sometimes even crashing the reader when you tried to open them. since i changed format i haven't had any problem.

I tried to create the epub with both mac and pc and add it to the e-reader.neither one seemed to have problems.
it might be a little device-related bug somewhere?

lorenzo

Folks,

I want to thank you again for including The Dallas Morning News in your latest release. I haven't been reading the paper for years.

It's such a pleasure to be able to read it on the Kindle.

I'm attaching my modified version of the script. You can see a list of all the Dallas Morning News news feeds at:

http://www.dallasnews.com/rss/

You can modify it as you see fit to customize your Dallas Morning News paper through Calibre.

Regards,

Robert

nortecastilla recipe

espariz, have a look at the attached recipe.

note that it does not include the feeds for the separate cities (most looks to be included in the espana and ultima hora feeds anyway), and because they use a javascript script to show galleries of pictures i only managed to dload some of them. (will need review)

neverthless you will be able to use it and customise it further!

lorenzo

PS: Edwin, i must have been writing this whilst you were responding! it might save some time

+1.

Also, may I suggest that NZ publications not to be included under English (Australia) as is done in V 0.6.34? This is going to offend a lot of Kiwis, who are already defensive about the Oz attitude of treating NZ as another Australian state .

Seriously though, Krittika, there are not many organisations that respond so quickly and efficiently to user requests. Many thanks.

Computer magazines pack

Hi guys,

here is a recipe pack for a variety of computer-related magazines (UK-focus), but you'll find also two popular worldwide. here is the list:

- Macworld
- PCworld

- Macworld (UK)
- MacVideo
- Digital Arts
- PC Advisor
- PC Mag (revised)
- Computer Act!ve
- CIO (Chief information officer)
- TechWorld

Note: occasionally i noticed that posts for the IDG-published sites are in multiple pages; i haven't found out an easy way to recompose these posts yet and need to study a bit more the problem

however a great thanks goes to evanmaastrigt who put me in the right direction to solve a issue with obfuscated urls

Feel free to fix the issue if you can otherwise i'll amend them when i can.
hope you'll find them useful!

lorenzo

I completely understand. this was just a temporary fix since there was only 1 entry for NZ. once I make the other recipes there will be a separate section for NZ.

This recipe is done and will be included in the next release. The dominion post seemed to be the title of 1 of the rss feeds of stuff.co.nz. So I combined them. The dominion post will be the 1st section (followed by national world etc) for the stuff.co.nz recipe. Hope that works for you.

Yeah, basically stuff.co.nz is the online news presence of Fairfax, which owns the Dominion Post among other Newspapers.

Basically the Dom section will have some extra local news not covered in the main Stuff.co.nz site.

I would like to have a recipe for ledevoir.com. (A recipe for the free version and a recipe for the version that you need a subscrition.)

Thank you!
