Kobo Clara HD is starting now, but it freezes after about half a minute

I have tried 3 different memorycards, but the problem still persists. When I put the kobo into sleepmodus, it automatically wakes up in about 1 minute. In settings automatic sleepmode is set to 15min. This all happened with battery charged around 50%.

Then, in de mean time when I was writing this, the problem seemed to be solved. The reader was all the time charging and when charged above 90% the reader started to work faster and didn't freeze anymore.

Does anyone know what could be the cause of this problem?
Did someone else have this problem, and found a solution?

same issue here with a Clara HD.
whenever I plug it into charg It stuck in a loop of black loading screen, then the image of the ereader and the power button.
I would appreciate some assistance
