Hi,

I'm a future owner of a (used) kobo glo and I would like to have a safe SDcard image in case something goes wrong with tinkering. Thank you in advance.

But, if you are worried, I would recommend pulling the card out yourself and taking an image. That will include the serial number of your device. And, if I had done that, I'd probably put a new and bigger card in.

I am aware of the procedure and will probably go on with it at some point, but it doesn't hurt having an independent backup image!
