Might go down to the shopping mall next week and see if someone looks for help selling bread or apples. I have tried pretty much everything else.

Sigh ... I can still remember that sick feeling.
My cure/work-around = cats, walks, and a stiff nightcap.
Good luck - we're rooting for you!

Why not try a trip to a local museum or zoo to recharge your batteries and brighten your spirits? Works for me.

Like poohbear_nc said, we're rooting for you!

thanks for the link cat ! if i manage to dredge up the courage to try growing plants again i will give it a close look. currently the only plant i have is a pot of grass for the cats. i am pretty sure they are genetically engineered to die after about 3 weeks (it doesn't matter what i do, little water, more water, no water at all...) so i have to keep buying new ones. the cat-grass growers must love me.

oh, i'm so sorry, katti ! don't be discourage ; i'm sure you'll find something even better, soon.

currently : drinking garlic and ginger tea and wondering whether i'm just overtired or actually sick (i've got that sinus infection-y feeling, and this is NOT THE TIME. ), and trying really hard to get done the work i must do today (so far with very mitigated success).

really really tempted to cancel the meeting i have tomorrow afternoon, but i was already delayed once (the other person got sick) and i should really just get it done.

ID:	46334 Katti's Cat. Don't despair about not getting that job. Just believe that you wouldn't have liked it anyway, and the reason it didn't work out is so that you'll be available when the job that's REALLY right for you comes along.

That's not just empty talk. It happened to me. Once upon a time I didn't get a job I thought I wanted (and desperately needed at that moment). I got the very next job I interviewed for. That was 19-1/2 years ago and I'm still there, and happy about it.

We're all rooting for you to get that RIGHT one.

Well, congratulations may be a trifle premature, but so far things are going well. It's a riot in there, I didn't think so many of the seeds would germinate I had to remove some of the shoots (is that the word?), and that was a hard decision. Maybe I'm not cut out to be a gardener after all. I kept three shoots per jam jar, and that's probably still too many. And I watered them a little, I hope they survive that

Thanks all for the kind talk. I know if i didn't get it, it wasn't meant to be and wouldn't have been right for me. And it's there fault if they didn't pick me. Sure I know all that. But I'm getting rather sick of applying for jobs - I think I'm up to 317 rejections now. Running out of ideas. Maybe should attend a craft class or something to make more interesting applications. Applying by email just has taken something away.

Anywho - I am nursing the motherload of a hangover this morning and declared it 'job searching FREE day'. That mix of happypills and booze didn't really work that well. And as I found out yet again (you would think I know better by now at my age) the brown smelly mass swims.

10 am and I still haven't been able to face anything that would go into the stomach. Headache pills included. I did have a brief look in the mirror - wasn't the best ideas either. Will avoid for rest of day. Hubby was considerate enough to put bucket beside my side of the bed. So I am lucky to have him at least.

Will attempt a glass of saltwater & some headache pills soon. Hope they work. Fast, reallly reaaaaally fast.

Awwww, ya poor thing! I hope last night was at least fun. Did the happy pills make you happy for a bit?

Lots of water is the best longterm fix for a hangover, I used to find. That and berocca - seemed to either replace missing nutrients or clean my system out FAST

Oh dear! I wouldn't have cheered quite so hard for the Red episode, if I'd know the woeful reason that you had time to write it! Hope you get better soon.

Soon as you finish the story, at any rate.
