That is nothing. I go through 3-4 liters of water a day making tea at work.
Today it was 2 pots of Rooibos Capetown, 2 pots of Lapshong (sp), and 2 pots of Genmaicha. each pot = 2, 12 ounce cups. So 12 cups at work. I'll make more at home. Last edited by ProfCrash; 05-23-2011 at 06:04 PM. |

No black, green, oolong or pu-erh. ![]() Well, I am lying. Their Sencha Uji and Dragonwell are good. They are good for tisanes. Lapacho, Rooibos. There is another online shop I would like to investigate but they are expensive and I am not sure it is justified. More likely that the prices are upped because they are dealing with Fair Trade whose certs probably cost a lot of money, thus rising products prices. JING Tea. We will see. I am going to shop around for Milk Oolong. I am surprised by the difference between the two I have tried so far. Also surprised by relative scarcity of the tea. Fortnum and Mason, The East India Company, Jing Tea, NBTea, Chah, Pekoe Tea, Eteaket do not stock it. I brought a small sample of a good Milk Oolong (Tea House Emporium, Bath) to the office today to try it here. Meanwhile, cuppa #2. Assam Mangalam. ![]() ![]() Last edited by astra; 05-24-2011 at 04:46 AM. |

I asked a well-respected nutritionist about the amount of tea I was consuming, thinking that perhaps it might not be so healthy. All she asked was "are you bothered by the caffeine? If not, then enjoy! If anything, it's keeping you hydrated, and cleaning out your kidneys!" I'm giving my kiddlies a rinse of East India Company's Ceylon tea. I just found it today in a Kyoto Import shop and thought I'd give it a try. I have to say, it's got better flavor than the Fortnum & Mason Ceylon! (But Fortnum & Mason's 'Royal Blend' is tastier than East India Company's 'Royal Breakfast.') Stitchawl |

From what I have read, Milk Oolong is hand processed which makes it more rare and more expensive. There are some stores that try and sell an Oolong that has been scented or have added milk to the Oolong somehow to duplicate the flavor but that does not work. It is suppose to be tea picked right after a sudden temperature drop which gives it its unique flavor.

I just had a cup of Milk Oolong.
WOW! Its flavour overpowers unfiltered water drawbacks. I am ordering tonight 2 or 3 bags. It is so nice to enjoy a tea in the office, not only at home. |

Cuppa #4
Golden Needle, China black. It goes better with food than on its own. Enjoyable. |
