All the talk about steak tartare and then mustard on things made me hungry for meatloaf. I grabbed the ingredients I needed before I left the store, but then I came home and sat down. Now I'm thinking heating up leftover chicken and dumplings might be all the ambitious I get tonight.

I learned that combination in Jr. High. In our school cafeteria, when they'd serve burgers and fries, they'd also have big bowls of condiments so you could dress your own burger. I started using mayo instead of ketchup for my fries then, and I've never liked ketchup much since.

My homemade ranch dressing is still my favorite thing to dip fries in though...and pizza crust...and chips (crisps)... yeah, I'm addicted to the stuff.

I believe this is how they eat fries in Belgium. In France we dip them in ketchup, if anything. I just eat them with salt

In the UK we favour non-brewed condiment (a by-product of the oil industry); malt vinegar is an acceptable substitute at a pinch.

What Sparrow mentioned sounds interesting too, but I doubt we have it over here...

Backing up my hard drive before installing a program upgrade. The upgrade is probably harmless but it asked for my admin password, and I'm getting more and more paranoid in my old age

And anyway, a backup can always come in handy.

LOL. I should be ravenous normally at this hour, but I woke up late and ate a big breakfast, so I can do without fries or mayo, and ketchup doesn't belong to my vocabulary.
