Just did a little check. I didn't use the service as much as I'm sure many did, but over the course of two months I did use it a bit. The total current retail list prices for all the books I read from there in that time totals about $130 and that's low because the list prices on at least some of them were higher when I read them. That would mean they paid out about $78 for me alone in ebook costs vs $18 in subscription fees. Add to that 10 audiobooks (not sure if the payout works the same there) listened to as well.
