Stop calibre, then on the command line run "calibre-debug -g > output.txt" to start calibre, then run your Preview command (or Create, but Preview is fine), exit calibre and then PM me. You can't attach files so you'll have to PM a link to the output.txt file somewhere. Since the file will contain all your book titles as well as collection information you probably don't want to post it here.

Further to: Books titles coming is as separate collections.
The problem was with the Calibre Library. I deleted the Calibre Library Metadata file. Created a new library and then imported the books from the old library into the new one and immediately things worked. Just hope it helps someone else.
I had used the Calibre Utility to check the database integrity but that never found anything wrong. Anyway all is working well and she has access to her 1800 odd books correctly saved in collections on her Kindle. Quote:

Hi,
I'm loving this plugin, it works wonderfully for organising my collection. I've run into a bit of a bug though. I've got a Kindle 3 which I've been putting some manga on after reformatting it for the kindle screen, and I want to put this in a collection. It worked fine when I was using the .mobi format, but the conversion to .mobi was fairly lacklustre. I swapped to using .cbz since it gives the nice full screen viewing mode, etc. I changed one of the settings in the kindle2/3 device plugin so I could use calibre to manage them. I went to create the collections, and the collections were created, but they show as containing 0 items. I can add them manually, but there are several hundred items. I have no problems creating collections with other file types besides .cbz. Any ideas? ![]() |

As a test version, you'll need to download the zip file and use Load Plugin From File from Preferences->Calibre (do not unzip the zip file). Last edited by meme; 08-30-2011 at 12:48 PM. Reason: Removed file |

Order of books
Hi,
I used the plugin to create collections on the Kindle 3 via Caliber and that worked great, so now I can see and sort by collections on the main screen. However, if I read a book within a collection and that collection does show up top on the main page, when I open the same collection again, the book that I was reading doesn't show on top even though within the collection, I have sorted by Most Recent First. My books are in Chinese, but that shouldn't be an issue, right? Thanks! |

Hello, and sorry for the noob question but I can't find the plugin in Calibre. I'm pretty sure I've installed it (checked installed plugins) but...where is it??

Sorting
Hi Meme,
The Home Screen is sorted by Collections while the collection I was reading is sorted by Most Recent. But the book within that collection doesn't show up first. Quote:

I didn't know you could change the sort within the collection. Thanks for mentioning it, meme. I actually went the other way (from most recent to title) so I don't have to search for the next book in the series. And this is why I keep reading here (finding answers to questions I didn't know I had).

Hmm, works for me. After setting up collections to Most Recent, I open a book second or third in the list, go back to home, reopen the collection and its now first in the list. This has nothing to do with the plugin, just a feature of the Kindle so I don't know what's causing it to be different for you.
