I would suggest trying the image again with a new uSD card. I've seen quite a few reports where the issues were triggered by the original uSD card failing so even with a re-image, it had issues. Trying a new card helped in those cases.

Hi my Clara hd is stuck on black updating screen and I could not get it to start with charging it overnight and doing the reset steps as popularly suggested. I don't seem to see the led light up at the hole either. Took off the back cover and unplugged the connection or ribbons on the board but still stuck on that black screen after half a day...

Trying to see if I can use a new image on the SD card to get it booting up again. Can someone send me? Thanks

Thank you for the link to the image, tried on original and clean SD, no go, Tired of the Kobo!
Sold id today, no more Kobo for me, also take in mind the many questions paced here on th forum makes me wonder if there is a big problem with the e-reader!
I am going to switch to a small android tablet, where also any pictures in a book will show better. And, most of times cheaper with more options!
