Yeah, I know, they say three years before it's available here....that's too bad, because I think I'd buy one for my daily commute.

I just don't understand, with the oil/gas/environment "crisis" why they aren't already building cars like this in the U.S.A.!!!

I want the new-to-come-on-the-market Auris from Toyota... Full Hybrid Drive in a much better looking car and a lot smaller than the prius.

But we've bought a kitchen...

Like they'd say: ma manco morta! (over my dead body). Fiat cars aren't much prized here, and pour cause! (The only car that we got and lasted, like, one year and half before reselling was the poor Panda- the earliest model; the inner roof just couldn't stay there .) So, a Citroen or a Ford. I loved the Fiesta.

I feel your pain... and also, in a city smaller cars are way easier to manage, i.e. finding parking space, and so on. I'd go crazy going back to my beloved 1st gen SW Astra.

Interesting, here in Germany the Cinquecento is in high demand. You have to wait for getting one, I believe.

The Fiesta is known as a rusty bucket here :-)

Here too. One of my best friends did buy a Cinquecento, and she had to waaait (and us with her).

But that's the fascination! Rusty, but still reliable. And fast. MMMMhm. Maybe I should pass her the Meriva and get an used Ford. (No, I can't do that to my Meriva! :P)

Dang! at least it's well spent, brakes are vital. (The newest mess on my mother's car is that the paint is mysteriously falling off the bonnet- but not any other side of the car!- and that's, well, costly. Only it's not vital to drive safely; on the other hand bare metal does rust...)

Them living three or four countries away might be helping, naturally...

But you certainly deserved it. I was very lucky with my first FIL, and I am good chums with my third.

Then we moved to Canada. At the first Holidays FirstWife had to go back for 2 months ...

The problem with circumvention is that it starts a reverberation of lies, that like a web will leave the daughter completely at the mercy of the benefactress supreme et dolorosa. For us guys, mothers can be overpowered, if one has the determination to use physical intimidation. That's the core of the Society that I founded and chair.

Ok, call me slow but when did a half gallon of ice cream turn into a quart and half? For you metric people that would be "when 2 liters of ice cream turn into one and a half liters"?

I'm sure it's been a while, but I don't buy it very often...
