I've just seen a face,
I can't forget the time or place
That we'd just met, she's just the girl for me
And I want all the world to see we've met
Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm mmm mmm

Had it been another day
I might have looked the other way
But I had never been aware
And as it is I dream of her tonight
La, di, di, da di di

Falling, yes I am falling
And she keeps calling me back again

Sunday mornings, sunshine, green herbs in the garden, cat sleeping at my feet, all the windows and doors open to the Spring morning, mug of Ahmad English Breakfast tea in honor of Desertblue's trip, Beatles music playing softly in the background... Nice.

Reading another wonderful travel report, as usual. I almost feel as if I'm there.

Oh!! I LOVE oil wrestling! There was this bar I used to go to in Bangkok that featured oil wrestling on Friday and Saturday nights. I think the wrestlers must have had a hard time getting all that oil out of their long hair!

Second mug of Ahmad English Breakfast tea, then onward the day!

yes, I drink it in teabags, without sugar and it is my favorite breakfast tea. It is mellow, just right for me in the morning, with my oriental breakfast. Life is so different for me now, and that tea is just ..right..

Thank you, Stichawl, I'm glad you like the report. I didn't remember, that you
said it , but life has another rythm for me now, so I'm not able to look
at all posts....and sometimes my brain resembles a sieve.

Edit: Tiba- tea this morning, an Earl Grey. It has a sweet taste to it, although I
don't use sugar.

unfortunately, I'm wearing one. I never think there's anything wrong with a ring pendant, but now you point that out.... makes sense though, but I lost the pendant years ago and have difficulties finding a new one (I'm picky). So I put a ring there instead.

@ Marie (LatinAndGreek): I'm sorry if I don't remember your name - is it Mari or Marie? I think it's Marie... Oh auburn is nice by the way

@ Iri: I don't know a thing about shoes, but your jewelries are nice! Especially the red ones... and that huge pendant in the center.

Only on weekends!? It's my motto for all days. I start with a little desert then, if I'm still hungry, I add fruit or vegetables and rice. I'm sure that dessert is one of the major food groups.

Nice. I would like to do mine. I just have to decide what color. Or maybe just some highlights. My problem is that I hate to hold still for so long while someone is doing it.

I used to be really picky as well, you just have to find a couple of shops were you know you'll find nice things. Also, real jewelery shops have lots of books from wich you can choose a pendant. That's how I found my clover-necklace.

I had a design that I wanted to get tattooed on my shoulder blade. I had no tattoos and really wasn't all that thrilled about getting one, but I REALLY wanted this special design (my own design/logo/totem) attached to me. Small size, just about 1 inch in all directions, it was important to me.

I was walking down the street in Bangkok in 1991, looking for a tattoo shop when I passed a large jewelry store that had a sign in the window that said "Custom Made to Order." I walked in, talked with the shop owner, and two days later I had my totem crafted in silver as a pendant. The only times it has been off my neck in the past 20 years has been for Chest X-rays. I had it re-made in white gold three years ago. Here is the silver version, looking a little worse for wear...

... and no pain from a tattoo!

This figure saved my metaphysical life... I had no idea why. A year later a medicine Man from the Abenaki tribe in Vermont, without knowing that it had, told me that the Thunderbird was my personal totem. A year after that a Lakota Sioux medicine man in South Dakota told me the same thing. It was my 'protector.' That same summer, I visited a Pima reservation in Oklahoma and a Pima medicine man repeated the same. None knew that I had dreamed about it. None know that it 'rescued me' in my dreams. They ALL said that it was most unusual, for the Thunderbird was usually the protector of a group, not an individual, but... So after hearing three different medicine men tell me the same thing, I figured "why fight it? If it's going to protect me, I'll be happy to have it!" Hey, with my lifestyle, I can use all the help I can get!

I was reluctantly willing for something this important, but fortunately, the Gods saved me from having to endure it! Yaay God!

Having a nice cup of unbranded Uva tonight. I refilled tea bags this afternoon, stocking up my tins for the next few weeks. I had been out of Uva for a few days, and too lazy to deal with it. It's pretty tasty!

I'd be happy with the permanence. It's not as if it were just some bit of decoration. If it could be done under general anesthesia I would be happy to have it branded, not just tattooed. It's very important to me, and it's something that I want to have close to me at all times. As it is, I never take it off, and I even found a stainless steel chain for it so I don't have to worry about the chain breaking.
