A couple of days ago I made the basic error of being outside without my camera-- which ensures that something interesting will show up. This time, it was a large tiger swallowtail on a thistle at the edge of the yard. I've been watching for him to reappear since then with no luck, but I caught these today.

The hottest thing I ever had is a ham sandwich, in the bar outside the hospital in Lima, Peru. And a woman had her belly vibrating so that her earrings were swinging like mad. Finally somebody said something that sounded like leche. But with that explosive accent they have, like leeecheh. It worked. 3 glasses of milk did the trick. So that lunch also was busted. At least I had the milk.
