Well .... the killer storms weakened before they hit us last night - just got some rain.

Today - record breaking high temps - in the 80's F!

Our March is coming in like a lamb, so ..... watch out for that lion ...

It has stopped raining in Melbourne - it's sunny now but with a strong wind. I think it's confused about whether we are going in to autumn or spring. Maybe we did a swap with poohbear without noticing?

OK - the storms that didn't happen Wednesday night are coming at us today - we're under a tornado watch all day, with possible severe thunderstorms. Temps continue unnaturally warm - kind of spooky - it "feels" like hurricane weather.

Latest bulletin: Temps rising overnight (delayed warm front moving up), killer storms arriving between 6-8 AM! Then temps dropping all day (if we're still alive!)

That sounds like serious weather - hope you survive in one piece.

We have some gentle but persistent rain going on, just because I said I was going to do some work in the garden. Good excuse to stay on the computer!

You can work in our garden if you like. Better still get on and finish doing the outdoor furniture, I have only managed 4 out of eight chairs(now a little incapacitated), and then there is the table....... Bluddy kwila mutter mutter.

No thanks! I remember once trying to put together a simple Ikea cupboard, one of those things a child of six could build in an hour. Lacking a child of six, it took me all day.

At least you have some of the chairs done, so you can sit in one and have a rest while you wait to feel better.

They are put together, they just need to be cleaned demoulded lightly rubbed back and re oiled with penetrol wood oil.

So glad I dont have to put them together, man that was a marathon effort.

I'll put the kettle on!

Oh, is that all you have to do! Putting on the kettle sounds like a good alternative.

It's still raining here and it will soon be time to go to the off-leash park. With a Labrador, we go rain, hail or shine. Indeed, getting wet is one of their favourite things to do.

We're ok. Up the hill. They built a desalination plant less than two years ago because the dam was at rock bottom. Last night it spilled for the first time since 1991.
