Back from a long ride to the sea... 175k total... need TEA!!!!!! LOTS OF TEA!!!!!!!!!!!
While it steeps... We discovered a really neat old village in the mountain between Kyoto and the Japan Sea coast. Most of the houses had tall thatched roofs! Very unusual for Japan. (Usually the house roofs are blue glazed tile.)

Hundreds of motorcycles on the roads today because of the Golden Week holiday. Racers in full leathers flying around the mountain curves, cruisers like us... laid back going slow and enjoying the scenery, 'Bozuzoku' (Japanese bike gangs) riding small engine Suzukis making lots of noise with their throttles, Harley clubs, touring groups, lots of single bikes with two-up. Good day to be in the mountains and ride to the sea!

Tea's ready.... good stuff.... Fortnum & Mason's 'Royal Blend.' I can see why this has always been a favorite.

When I buy my lunch at M&S I look whether the portion is 320 or 400 kcals, thinking about how many corn thins I can add to it, each 21 kcals (2, 3 or 4?) and maybe a piece or two of chocolate? If I don't monitor it like that, I won't be able to walk to work. I would roll.

And that is why Five Guys is a once a month, actually more like once every other month thing for me. I do so love their burgers and fries.

When I was at the 200 pound, probably over 200 pounds, mark I was eating there 3 times a week. I am in the 168 - 171 range now (depends on the time of day) mainly because I have been better about exercising and because I am eating a bit better then I use to.

But I do so love Five Guys....

I see....Palmiers are 350kcal each, I eat 2 every Saturday and Sunday morning. But I do love Palmiers on a weekend morning with a good cup of tea....
