Espoo, Finland

The name Espoo probably comes from the Swedish name for the River Espoo, Espå (or Espåå), which in turn comes from the old Swedish word äspe, meaning a border of aspen, and the Swedish word for "river", å, thus "a river bordered by aspen". The name was first mentioned in 1431. The banks of the River Espoo are even today heavily populated with aspen.

Oʻahu, known as "The Gathering Place", is the third largest of the Hawaiian Islands. It is home to about two-thirds of the population of the U.S. state of Hawaii. The state capital, Honolulu, is on Oʻahu's southeast coast. Including small close-in offshore islands such as Ford Island and the islands in Kāneʻohe Bay and off the eastern (windward) coast, it has a total land area of 596.7 square miles (1,545.4 km2), making it the 20th largest island in the United States. Along with the rest of the Hawaiian Islands, Oahu is one of the largest and northernmost islands of Polynesia.

Unalaska is the largest city of the Aleutian Islands. The city is in the Aleutians West Census Area, a regional component of the Unorganized Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. Unalaska is located on Unalaska Island and neighboring Amaknak Island in the Aleutian Islands off mainland Alaska.

Nānākuli, Hawaii, USA



Nānākuli is located at 21°23'36" North, 158°9'10" West (21.393450, -158.152802)[2] near the southern end of the Waiʻanae mountain. Although most of the residents live in the valley, access is from Farrington Highway running along the coastline between Lualualei to the northwest and Kahe then Kapolei to the southeast.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.6 square miles (17.0 km2), of which 3.0 square miles (7.7 km2) is land and 3.6 square miles (9.3 km2) is water. The total area is 54.48% water.

Ireland's Eye

Ireland's Eye is a small uninhabited island off the coast of County Dublin, Ireland, situated directly north of Howth Harbour. The island is easily reached by regular tourist boats. The island is currently part of the county of Fingal, for administrative purposes, but was at one time part of the city of Dublin.

Ireland's Eye comprises the main island, a range of rocks and an islet called Thulla. The most spectacular feature is the huge freestanding rock called "the Stack", at the northeastern corner of the island, which plays host to a large variety of seabirds, including thousands of guillemots, razorbills, fulmars and gulls. Ireland's fifth gannet colony became established on the Stack in the 1980s, and there are now a few hundred pairs breeding there each year. There is a large cormorant colony on the main island, and a few breeding pairs of puffins. Grey seals are abundant in the sea around the island.

Y (pronounced:*[i]) is a commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France.
Y bears the shortest place name in France, and one of the shortest in the world. The inhabitants call themselves Ypsilonien(ne)s, from the Greek letter Upsilon which looks like the letter Y.

Popcorn, Indiana

A place where they make popcorn and sell it in stores such as Walgreens. Popcorn took its name from Popcorn Creek. A local legend states a visitor from out of town compared the size of local farmers' corn to "popcorn" compared to their own.
A post office called Popcorn was established in 1891, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1905.
