Mini has no phisical buttons too, but has a "home" button on the screen, which is used to return to home screen. I think that only the kobo touch has a hardware button, but for other recent kobos the home is on the top-left of the screen, I'm right? I don't have experience with recent firmwares (3.0+)

Still, could you post your result for kobo mini with firmware 2.8.1b? I will compare it to the Aura's and maybe build something for all Kobo's. |

Yes, It should work, at least on the mini, because /dev/input/event0 seems to be the non-existent touchpad, I don't know if glo, aura and aura-hd have this event interface. If somebody with a Touch can test it:
# cat /dev/input/event0 > kobo-refresh (now press one time the hardware home button) and share here this file we can test it with other devices ![]() When I arrive at home I'll post the bin file to refresh my mini, but keep in mind that this file contains info about the touchscreen and don't work with resolutions higher than 600x800 |

Hi folks,
Do setting and dictionary issues in epub files still exist? My aura HD can't keep the font setting when epub files are closed and dictionaries don't work in epubs. Am I missing any crucial updates? |

When you launch your programs, like KOreader from tshering's Kobo Start Menu you have not started background processes that your program isn't using, including Sergey's File Monitor (fmon) but more importantly none of the more resource using Kobo/Nickel components.

If you use the "History" function in the top menu, you should find the book you were reading just as you left it, fonts and all. You can also try the different "Rendering Styles" that apply different .css files. [You can add your own or modify the existing ones at ./.kobo/koreader/data] Luck; Ken |

Thank you, Ken.
I just tried the newest build on my HD. It is awesome. The Chinese book title problem was solved. Dictionaries work well. Settings in epub actually remain even when open from the folders. My only "complaint" is that the history list seems not in any particular order: the last opened book is hidden somewehre in the middle of a few pages. Or is there a way that one can set an order? |

On mine, I have less than a full page of history entries and the top one is always the book I am currently reading. I have thinned out the history folder when connected by USB and a long press on an entry will bring up a Delete button.

I moved the older history file to the new build. Maybe I should delete it.
I just found another problem with this new build. If I set a pdf file to "fit the width of the content", not only will the book stop working soon, the page of that folder appears but the titles don't respond either. A message flashes quickly, saying something about "onboard". It disappears too quickly to read. At this moment if I click "file manager", the page setting top and bottom bars appear so it seems I am still in the book but the background is not the book but still the page of folder with the book titles, which are responsible. The only way out is to just - with the setting bars - set back to "fit the size of the page" (default). Then things get back to normal. If I need to crop the margins, I can only use the manual crop to set pdf because the auto crop won't do much cropping. With the old build I used "fit the width of the content" and "scroll" all the time and it worked perfect. |

Hello. I've notice that if a cbz is created with a subfolder, koreader reads it, but if a cbz is created from the root (no subfolder) koreader don't read it. is there a way to fix?
