Checking everything out now...

.....looks good so far.....now to fix/merge and backup my email....

Say, out of curiosity, how much would the power supply and installation have cost you out of warranty?
Here it would have been around $150.

I really don't know, but that sounds likely in the ballpark...probably $100-200 U.S.

Yep and I saw a plumber/sprinkler truck there later, so I assume it got repaired.

I am using cornstarch powder so hopefully its not as bad as talc in his gut. He doesn't seem too worried about it he was not licking any more than usual, and I think I brushed a goodly amount of both diesel and powder out. He doesn't smell of diesel any more.

To cut a long story short, in order to complete the requirements of my professional association (they gave me this lifeline because I couldn't complete it the original way), I required the help of a firm. I needed certification of my employment. I worked there from 2003 to 2005. The principal has retired and sold the business, but my records are still in the computer system. The new principal won't sign the certification (frack frack). I spoke to them a couple of weeks ago and they did not respond to my emails, so I was guessing that they were hoping I would go away, so I rang them today.

Anyway! Chin-up there's more than one way to skin a cat (figuratively Mr M, not a real cat). I will have to track down the old principal and figure out a way to comply with the requirements. All Afternoon, I have been drafting nasty letters to the firm(new owners) and to the professional association.

I am calming down now, thanks dreams. My anxiety levels are high anyway because I have to go away on Friday, and there's too much to do. But on the bright side, I will have my reader this time to help me with the EXTREMEMLY boring 4+hours on the plane.

I am glad you are feeling a bit better now. I hate having to deal with companies. Wouldn't it work to show your work checks as proof of employment there? Here it does. Even your tax records would show employment, wouldn't they?

I hope you are able to have a somewhat relaxing trip (at least you will have your Reader for the trip.

Its a bit more like having your resume certified!. I think he won't sign for the content, he can see the timesheets, but not whether I was interviewing clients etc. Anyway, now I have calmed down, and I am thinking about a glass of red

and some cheese whilst I cook up some dinner.

Unfortunately the trip won't be very relaxing as I have to go to site because there has been some staff issues etc. So I can imagine drinking a lot with dinner there too.

I am looking forward to having the reader on the plane.
