Abenteuer abseits vom Alltagswege!
Noch nie gehört?
Dabei ist diese 50bändige Serie meines Erachtens die beste deutsche Abenteuerserie, die je geschrieben wurde. Die Hauptfigur Olaf K. Abelsen zieht den Leser automatisch in seinen Bann und er ist eingebettet in teils utopische Geschichten und umgeben von pittoresken Charakteren. Hier der erste Band, den ich auftreiben konnte, sogar mit Originalcover:

Ich versuche, in nächster Zeit noch einige Male mit Abelsen in der Welt herumzuvagabundieren, wenn ich mehr Bücher oder Digitalisate auftreiben kann.

Patumengi trat ins Freie.

Patumengi ist etwa 1,10 Meter groß, aber sein Kopfputz aus Federn läßt ihn dreißig bis vierzig Zentimeter dazumogeln.

Er, intimer Vertrauter eines abessinischen Kaisers, er, so alt, daß er seine Jahre nur mehr schätzen kann, er, Gebieter von tausend Dokozwergen, verteilt auf sechs Baumsiedlungen - er mit einem durch Silberspangen zusammengehaltenen Leopardenfell, mit dem zerknitterten, mehr gelblichen als braunen Gesicht, begrüßte den Ankömmling mit der natürlichen Würde eines Greises, dessen Vergangenheit mehr Abenteuer aufweist, als in einem Dutzend Romane sich zusammendrängen ließ - er sprach zu Käpten Bolk in seinem seltsamen Kauderwelsch, das vielleicht an das Englische erinnerte:

"Sei willkommen in meinem Reiche, du Sohn des Meeres - hier ist mein Freund Abelsen - schenke ihm deine Seele, denn seine eigene Seele ist wie die weite Steppe, die im Sonnenlicht daliegt und keine Schatten besitzt."
