Halloween or Hallowe'en (a contraction of Hallows' Even or Hallows' Evening), also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve, is a celebration observed in several countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. ANNOUNCEMENT

Effective today, I will no longer post the Daily Deals due to a change in my schedule. I tried to keep up with it, but the results were not consistent; frequently posting late or not at all.

This change will not affect the rest of my posting at MR, since I won't have any time constraints. I'll still post deals I run across, still answer questions, and still keep the two OPs updated. Additionally, I'll still continue posting the annual sales threads - Black Friday, Prime Day, Prime Early and Sync Audio.

If someone else would like to post the Daily Deals, I'd appreciate it; but I'm not expecting anyone to do so. It's strictly voluntary and they're free to post the deals in the style of their choosing (and not in my OCD formatting).

Thanks for your consideration and let's keep those deals coming in.

YW. I pretty much gave up looking too, but something said look, so I did. Don't know when it started or when it'll end. Nothing here interests me, so I won't bother getting any of them.

BTW, there were 9 books listed, but only 8 of the links worked.

Thanks for posting this. My free trial ended yesterday, so that freed Audible to start the sale today...lol. Just as well, since I rarely find anything in these 2-for-1 sales worth getting.

Of the ones in the sale most are already free on the other DRM-free websites, or were offered free at one time or anothrer. I got most of them on eStories. I did pick up the Hell's Rejects collection; Jeff Hays is a pretty good narrator so it's worth at least the try.

Sorry that was timed that way for you! OTOH, my trial ends next week, so I was able to use my two credits. And then when I canceled, they offered me three more months at half-price, which included getting the first credit now, in time to also use in this sale. And since $4 - $5 is about my max for audio books, I'll have my fingers crossed that there is another 2-for-1 near the end of my three month time frame, so I can use the other two (which weren't provided up front this time) on that. And I do find enough books each time in the sales, usually non-fiction/history/science, probably since I almost never buy any audiobooks otherwise...

I am probably gambling that there won't be a better Audible offer for (the real) Black Friday, but WTH

And, thanks so much for all the hard work you've done on the thread - I would have NO audiobooks, if not for your efforts

It was no big deal to miss it. There wasn't anything on there I would've gotten anyway. When I cancelled, I was offered the same deal and didn't take it.

My max for audiobooks is $3. That's the most I've ever paid for one. I only "buy" fiction books. I love science and history and always get them from the public library.

With Audible, you never know. Sometimes you get surprised. Still, when a good deal pops up, it's always best to take the sure thing. Waiting for a better deal could find you with no deal at all.

I jumped on the 3 Audible trials I just got. I'm not willing to wait for Black Friday and take a chance I end up with nothing.

And, thanks so much for all the hard work you've done on the thread - I would have NO audiobooks, if not for your efforts
