Pretending to work and waiting for lunchtime. I found out this morning that the guy I work with, who's been handing me work in a trickle, small boring task by small boring task, is not here today, my last day. He didn't warn me and most certainly didn't leave me any instructions. So I guess I'll just make it a last half-day

Magnetic poetry words are spread out on my desk, a Cabbage Patch doll is in the chair next to me and the doll's owner has run off to play with plastic fruit, stuffed animals, and my decorative birdhouses in another room. Otherwise, it's a quiet day at the office. I think I've been invited to lunch with the doll owner, but need to confirm with the doll owner's parent. On top of that, I'm fairly certain that I don't have to come back to the office after lunch.

Not sure you'd really want to work here, but you can come and play in my cubicle. The magnetic poetry, plastic fruit, stuffed animals (bears and dogs wearing vendor logo shirts that I picked up at conferences), and birdhouses are part of my cube decor. Oh, and I buy my own dry erase markers. Fine points make for better drawings.
