Well..that certainly makes things a bit tedious.
I was able to use a password with letters and numbers only. Also though I'm in the U.S. the contest link only had options for UK and Canada addresses. I registered with a random London postal code.

I've verified that one of the codes I got worked in the U.S. Kobo store. Here it is (30% off) in case anyone wants to check if it can be used more than once (once per account): 223HP2

From being an associate I can tell you that sometimes they do have different lists of books on sale/pages depending on country. So go there your normal route and it should work okay. I think this is the first time they've done it this way for a contest, but I know when I link to certain sales from my blog, I have to do two sometimes--one for Canada, for example and another for other.

It's all messed up, again! In new and exciting ways...

I've tried the usual address, contest.kobo.com in IE and Firefox, and I only get the UK and Canada options.

I followed this link:

from the Kobo website, and got the US option (and only that). BUT after I filled out the form and the captcha and clicked "Continue".... nothing. Tried again, again.... nothing.

When I tried to register for the contest using Firefox, my only country choices were UK and Canada, but when I tried using Chrome, my only choice was US. This is on the same PC (in the US).

I also had to change the password I've previously used for contests to meet the new password requirements. I had more problems with the captcha too, but I eventually got one I could decipher.

After all that work, all I got was a lousy 20%.

I only got 25 percent. There are two different links for the pages. I only have associate links for my blog though and I know the code in there, but if I take just that out to post the correct links here, is that all I need to do to make the work right? If someone can tell me what to take out, I can post the two different links.

I WAS typing it in to my browser (FF). I even cleared the cache. But thanks to the suggestion here I went to Kobo's website and found a link there to the contest (carefully tucked away all the way at the bottom of the page), and that's worked.
