But I still have some problem with the epub ccs customization. I was trying to set the font size, but I couldn't make it work. Following koadic's advice, I have tried setting my font size in the html tag, but it doesn' t seem to have any affect at all. Perhaps my epub file has both the html tag and the body tag, and the device epub customization couldn't override the css in the file? Any suggestions on how to make it work? Thanks! |

NOTE: if you have calibre re-sizing fonts on conversion, it will set font-size: 1em for the body tag of the epub. |

@doremifaso From the way it sounds, I believe that the css file in your epub may have the font size set at a constant size (12pt, etc) instead of a relative size (% or em). If this is indeed the case, there are probably many different tags with a specified font size, such as h1-h6, p, div, etc. and it would involve a bit more than what a simple change in the custom css can do.

If you would like, PM me with the contents of the embedded css file for that epub and I will take a look at it |

I did some more testing and found that the css file I have actually works on other epub files, except the ones that I converted from Calibre. So, I set a larger font in Calibre, and everything works fine now. |

				lrf fonts in russified firm

Is it possible with the russified firm to set a different default font for the 650 reader (for LRF)? With PRS+, I have Verdana on my 505 and I love how it looks. I would like to be able to replace the default font also in my future 650. Thanks Last edited by yolan; 11-18-2010 at 06:09 AM. |

To bad it replaced the Dutch language.. I am Dutch and want to keep the language.

Hope there will ever come a version where the dutch language is still there. |

I crossed my fingers and flashed my 4 weeks old PRS-650. All went fine. Now I have Georgia as my default font. I love it.

I flashed the firmware with version 1.05f, everything seemed to go well, and on the "about" the buttons to change settings are indeed showing, but there's no "hack information" where I could actually see the "hack settings"...See screenshot below. Anyone had the same problem ?

Also, I tried Xaphiosis's method for setting up a serial console (see here), and it involves running a script from a SD card, but doesn't seem to work on the 650 (the method described is for the 600), as when I hit Vol + and Home simultaneously, then insert the SD card, nothing happens...But maybe this is the wrong thread for this question. Anyway, any help is appreciated. |

To see the hack info and the settings you are going to have to switch to English or Russian. Sorry, I didn't bother to change the assets and about files for any other languages (no disrespect, it just was not practical for me to do so).

To get serial console you are going to need to use a special login update from my tools package. The login update has an update file PRSx50.Updater Package that switches the reader into serial console (serial over usb) mode. You would need to copy the update file into the internal memory and then switch to recovery mode (um recovery). The the flash_reader.bat file for an example script. The autorun doesn't work the same way on x50, so don't bother with any autorun packages for now. |
