Well, I personally think she hit her peak with book 3 (Prisoner of Azkaban). But generally I'd say the odd-numbered books were better than the even numbers. (Sort of the inverse of Star Trek movies, I guess.)
I liked Jonathan Stroud's Bartamaeus books more. Or Garth Nix's Abhorsen trilogy. But I liked the HP books well enough to read them all more than once (ok, I haven't re-read 7 yet, but I probably will sometime this winter.) |
