I really love the size of the PRS-900 for pleasure reading so I hope they keep that size and just add a big screen reader to compete with the Kindle DX. I like how the screen is 7.1 inches and it still smaller than my Kindle 2. But a faster processor is a must because one of the things I hate about the PRS-900 is the wait when you press the Home Key (it should be immediate). I hope they never move away from the touchscreens and find a way to eliminate the glare since clarity was improved from the PRS-600 to the PRS-900. We gave my cousin a PRS-600 for birthday last September and now I own a PRS-900 and the screens are not the same.

My excitement level is at an all-time high.
I've loved my 505 for years and if Sony makes smart decisions in this new generation of readers, my upgrade money is going to them. |

You all are too funny...didn't mean to make this a fingernail (or sausage/condom) thread.
![]() I want the upgrades but I can't use them. Am I the only one who has faced this issue? My nails are as much out of laziness than style. It's easier to let them grow than cut them. And for the record, my fingernails aren't that scary ![]() |

Have you considered buying the capacitive device and just using your nose?

You can get pens for capacatitive screens - look on Amazon for "capacatitive stylus". These are not ideal in my experience, but are OK (and for the limited use required when reading should be fine). That should solve the fingernail problem.

Me too. I sold both of my Sony's, but I've been thinking about getting another 300. The 300's screen is beautiful. I'll probably wait to see what new features the 350 will offer, but I'll be looking for a refurb. 300 if the 350's screen clarity isn't up to par.

Check BJ's. They are selling the 300 with case for $99.

Edit: that's a misstatement about the Buy button - it is operable on the iPad after all, albeit not one-click. Last edited by Harmon; 08-21-2010 at 03:57 PM. |
