or just on all the time! my Mom has to have the TV on always. weather channel, QVC, soaps, home shopping... AND has to go to sleep with it on. she did that when I was a kid as well!

I've seen that, it is like there hand and their but are connected and the act of sitting down makes the hand reach out for the remote
