Well, he is the monkey (okay, ape) on my back, and every male primate needs his "Gentleman's Time" (I gleefully stole that phrase from The United States of Tara). I'm not really all that cross, and breeding is what I don't have nor want to do. I will acknowledge an address of "Mongrel" though. Cheers, Marc (11:05pm, Chateau Pompette Time)

The dust storm was really bad here. I woke up to a pink light outside my window - really eerie. Everything in the house had a thin layer of dust over it and as for the car! And someone told me they're forcasting another. As an asthmatic just getting over a coughing virus I stayed indoors even though I had planned to go hunting bookshops for a book I wanted to read before Sunday. (no e available). Lucky I have lots of ebooks and 3 readers to keep me busy. :-) |

Glad to hear that everyone came out OK with all the dust. We don't have the dust storms, but I do get the fine dust from the harvesting and preharvest work in the orchards around here. We even have flag warnings for when to stay indoors due to the air quality. (Which makes for a constant need to dust and wash down of the outside spaces.)

Last I heard there's another forecast for Saturday here, so possibly Friday (oh hey, that's today!) there. Huh, if it's today, you've probably noticed it by now! My Saturday plans are in shreds. Sigh. Quote:
Bluck. We don't get dust storms on the coast very often, so we're not used to the concept - it might as well be a rain of fish The inland country and outback folk think we're incredible wusses for nattering on about a little dust storm like this.

One problem though: When I got out the wood cleaner and cleaned the wood, I could have sworn that the wood was about two shades darker than I remembered. Then I said, "The h*** with it!", and got out the air blower, closed all the windows, and blew off the outside of the house. Worked great! I may start doing this every time instead of using the broom. ***OK, so I may have exaggerated a bit.... but not by much ***

May I just say, I'm bored stiff. I'm even boring myself today. Maybe I'll go home and dye my hair. Any votes on the new colour? (it's mid bluey-green atm)
