So, some pictures...

The first is the setup. It's made from an old lorry tire rim (if that's the correct word). The baking plate is also made from the same material.

Ok, put some oil in and then the batter (the brown rim on the batter is the oil). put the cheese on and the (slightly pre-fried) bacon. Wait a bit and pour a second (much thinner layer of batter on top of that. Turn it around, wait a minute or so and put it on your plate.

Result on the third picture! Yummie!

(naturally, if you actually bake in a baking pan, you'll get much rounder results

)

I don't want to take the wind out of anyone's sails, but I used to make my Scouts cook everything from eggs benedict to 4 course meals on an open fire

(for what it's worth, I LOVE the cooking setup!)

considering we've only a garden we can do those things in for 3 years now, and the first year we didn't even have time to do anything outside, I'm still proud of what we did! (and it tasted perfect)

That thing is heavy! And we towed it all the way from Hungary to home (1500km) in our small car (which was twice as heavy when we left for home than when we left for Hungary

Just read postfrom post #1 to #102...now craving everything!! (Including Boca...the town....which is odd in and of itself.....the town, not the craving)

Damn you all!! What I would give for a decent BearClaw from A real donut shop!! Aghghghg....

Wouldn't you get a bear claw form a real bear? And wouldn't that be a bit dangerous? (assuming said bear is still attached to said bearclaw)

Mmm...favorite way too sweet pancake topping: fry banana slices in butter, add plenty of maple syrup, let simmer until the syrup looses a third of it's volume.

Please let that thread die, I'll be hungry as long as I see it!
