I haven't root devices yet but did add dns entry to see what websites were being accessed by device
Since, i'm using same dns service(nextdns) for my phone- A9 (which has large list of domains in denylist), only suspicious entry i saw was - effect.snssdk.com the domain is somehow connected to TikTok. |

You really shouldn't redact HWID and hash.
They provide useful information so that we can find loaders. Moreover, people lying about them is a pain in the... I'll guess: HWID: 001b80e100000000 Hash: d40eee56f3194665-574109a39267724a-e7944134cd53cb76-7e293d3c40497955 Now your serial number (which is not your Android ID). If somebody knew that they could break into Qualcomm and get all their records. And trace them through Onyx and all their distributors. And trace that back to your very house! So fine, just change that to XXXXXXXX, it's fine by me. Last edited by Renate; 02-25-2024 at 06:27 PM. |

Since I rooted my boox it seems to have lost the ability to deep sleep completely O.o It loses battery super fast, even after full wipe and recovering to prev unpatched boot image. Anyone an idea whats happening here?

Hmm, that's hard to troubleshoot.
It's like asking somebody why they can't sleep. They'll say it's because you're asking questions. You'd have to do non-invasive things like measuring battery current directly. Do you have the WiFi on? Do you have some app with a "wake lock"? |

Mmm, I'm very suspicious of battery statistics.
Even counting electrons, knowing the temperature and the current current draw it can be difficult. Could this all be explained by your battery hitting old age and having lower capacity? |

I just dumped boot_a from my Note Air 2 Plus successfully (on firmware 3.5 [2023-11-22_12-04_3.5_4101d467d9]) and patched it with Magisk 27.0 - on rebooting it everything seems to be fine except the front light won't turn on
The icons for frontlight and warmth are crossed out in the control center and I can tap them to enable them but the sliders remain stuck at the left side and they won't turn on. Has anyone else experienced this? I tried patching w/ 25.2 as well but had the same result. If there are firmware downgrade methods working I could try I'd give that a go as well - having a rooted device and disabling network for Onyx apps is more important to me than having an up to date system but not being able to use the frontlight is a dealbreaker for me |

Weird stuff like your light can often be kernel modules.
My Poke3 had one, my Poke5 has twenty Do a lsmod command and compare it with somebody else's. |
