I have a vague memory of that as well. Was it only on the original Aura? It was capacitive touch, so Kobo might have implemented it on that at some point.

I have no issues with it on my Sage. But, I don't use the stylus or audiobooks. My wife does us audiobooks occasionally and has not reported any problems,

I don't know, but I tried it on the Sage and the Libra (original) and found it slower than tap, Aa, adjust and tap. Also awkward to set desired size. So I turned it off.

It was on my 6"-Aura and I liked it. I admit, it wasn't always easy to reach the desired setting.

No Pinch to change font size on Libra 2 for ePubs

Just updated to 4.33.19759 (5240404f16, 7/20/22) on my Libra 2, and I can't make pinch to change font size work. There is also no "pinch" option in Reading Settings (either from the main menu, or when reading a kePub book) as described in the release notes for this firmware version. Pinch does work with PDFs.

I saw a thread on Reddit saying that Kobo support indicated that the "pinch" feature was supported on Libra 2 only for PDFs. I haven't contacted Kobo support myself yet, but am wondering if anyone here has any other info, or can confirm / deny this working on a Libra 2 for ePubs (not just PDFs).

For what it's worth, the DRM popup has been reported to Kobo on several occasions though I seem to remember having to manually reboot.

I've seen it before occasionally and had to reboot (power off & on). One other time it rebooted itself. Maybe four times in six years?
First time on the Sage. Same book was OK after reboot and when I finished it I revered back to 4.32.x

Hi everyone,

First time poster here, so please be kind.

I tried to use my Elipsa yesterday to take some notes in a lecture yesterday, because, you know, taking notes with ink and paper has been a thing for the past few hundred years so I assumed modern technology would be able to keep pace…

Anyway, when syncing I upgraded to the newest software in the hope it would fix the other myriad bugs I’ve been experiencing (mostly with annotations using the stylus on PDFs). However I found that on the latest firmware, the stylus would intermittently stop responding to handwriting for 10-15 seconds, but the stylus would work for other things.

Initially I assumed it was a dying battery in the stylus, or a faulty stylus, so I tried both a new battery and a new stylus and neither helped.

Eventually I downgraded to the previous version and it fixed the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this? And is there any way to stop Kobo pestering me to upgrade to broken firmware every time I sync?

Thanks!

One one of my readers, I almost dropped my reader and caught it with the screen causing my fonts to go all wonky. I guess it was the Nook, but I could swear it was my Aura.

Anyway, I hated pinch to change font size. It was a feature I would never use and only caused problems when I activated it by accident.

Pinch to resize fonts would be okay if not viewed on a circular window but the whole page

No, it wasn't that circular window the other guy showed. I don't know what that was.

I tested the pinch to change font size a couple of times then disabled it in Settings. I don't change font sizes that often and, in my limited testing, I found that I couldn't control the font size change with any degree of precision.
