I have an excel spreadsheet that tracks all the books that I have read since Jan 1, 2001. I track by authors name, title, month read and year read.

I haven't counted my TBR books. My best estimate is that I have 750 unread books and I don't want to confirm that number. Its too scary.

I started keeping track of what I read when to cut back on rereads. I am a compulsive rereader. I was keeping track of what books I own with filemaker and just added a last read field. I think about switching to delicious for the ipod support, but have not made the move yet.
