Device: oasis 9th vs kobo aura one
after install new software and apply the patch. i remove .kobo folder. then kobo will auto restart and ask you to run the mini seetup like new. it creates new kobo database sqlite through the process. the issue solved and your books still remain in the storage

I better add an exception to that. My N905 Touch has had some problems for a while. With this, if it sleeps for a while I, the WiFi won't work. Restarting it will usually get it working, but, sometimes the network disappears and I have to set it up again. Because of some other issues, I suspected it was failing. But, Kobo have told me there are some problems with WiFi in recent firmware on these devices. I'm not I am running beta firmware on it to check other things, so I am not worried. I have been told by Kobo recently that this is a known problem with recent firmware. I probably should go back to the latest release for this device and test what happens.

no wi-fi problem
I just updated my One with the LE version, and I updated the Clara yesterday, and I had no problem whatsoever updating Pocket articles then disconnecting from wi-fi (twice).

EDIT: just applied my usual patches, including removing footer and the 24 line spacing values and had no problems.

The cruel irony is that if and when a fix DOES come out for the Wi-Fi problem, we won't be able to get it right away because the device can't sync, and therefore download the update if you have to connect manually to Wi-Fi each time, and so we'd have to sideload it.

I used to see behaviour very similar to what you describe on older versions. Since 4.9.11311, it happens every time I connect.

I think @anacreon meant that they installed the firmware for the Aura ONE Limited Edition on the Aura ONE. That is perfectly safe as the two ereaders are the same except for the amount of storage. And the firmware will be the same as the that for the Clara HD if the version numbers are the same.

Kobo have not released this firmware for the Aura. You can try installing one of the KoboRoot.tgz from one of the released packages. It will probably work, but, there are no guarantees.
