No ... it will still be a secret because those guys don't live here and don't do regular work for any of the people on the ridge or in town. Most of those people think that if a person's primary language is Spanish, then they must either be stupid or not do good work, so they try to get them down to a price for a day long job that wouldn't pay for a movie ticket in town.

I know what the value of time is, and I appreciate the type of hard work this is. I know ... I've done it. So ... I doubt that these guys are going to rat me out ... especially not when they don't like the snobs on the ridge or in Horseshoe Bay anymore than I do.

Yes .... 13 doors ... all of which really should be stained and varnished once a year. At least the ones facing West and South without a big old overhang should be. The wood is just drying out from the sun.

It's a big house ... way too big for one person, but not way to big for one person with two "domesticated moose" and twenty cats.

I don't even want to THINK about the windows here. If I may .... please see the attached photo which is of one wall of the great room. Imagine the fun I have getting up on a really tall ladder to clean those puppies. There are windows set in the master bedroom that are even higher up than that.

Well, its getting on toward Labor Day here in the US. Labor Day, that's where we celebrate and honor the achievements of the working people by taking a holiday. It is also the traditional start of the school year for many kids, the unofficial end of summer, and the start of the Christmas shopping season.

I am sooooooooo sorry. I didn't get that joke until just now. Man, I can be so very dense sometimes!!! And you have my sympathy on the window situation ... I do not look forward to they day I need to replace mine.

Heh .... back before I had cats, I was perfectly content in 600 square feet. That place had four windows, one door and was just dandy (except for the storage which was atrocious).
