That's a good way to put it, the screen is just very natural on the H20. That's what I love about it.

I am also seriously tempted, but the H2O is relatively inaccessible to me - distance - so it's keeping me in check. Sooooo curious about the screen, though.

If only the hardware was the deciding factor. I owned a Glo before my PW2 and buying books is far easier on the kindle, huge choice and wireless transfer. Plus I like to read a lot of new authors that traditional publishing houses ignore.

Kobo have the best hardware but Amazon IMO have the best 'ecosystem'.

I know what you mean. It's not a straightforward choice for some people, I can certainly understand that. Each device has its pros and cons. I guess for me the screen trumps all because it's what I'm looking at and the voyage shows colors and an uneven screen to my eyes. So I couldn't use it even if I wanted to. As for buying books, I still buy from Amazon and sideload them on to my kobo via calibre, so that is not an issue for me.

MR? Not that I need any more addictions... Between gadgets and books, I'm pretty well covered.

What I love about the Amazon system is that it's all so seamless. Makes it hard to give up. For a great device, though, you sometimes sacrifice.

Yeah, I've done that in the past. Its hassle stripping whatever, then converting but the H2O looks fabulous. I think I will buy one and suffer the hassle for the reading experience.

I'll post back tomorrow.

So you got a voyage in addition to the h2o and the Onyx? Now you can read 3 books at once

Yes, your Voyage looks fine. Congrats. You're lucky. A number of people on the Voyage thread were less fortunate. They've posted pics of their Voyage screens that show a marked colour gradient. Others have posted pics that do not. It appears to be a QC issue. The problem has existed since the PW1. You'd think Amazon would be able to more consistently produce even screens from the factory by now. The PW2 was better. I can only guess that implementing a flush-bezel screen added in new variables to an already precarious lighting system. They'll iron it out, but the Amazon lighting tech and its manufacturing process is demonstrably less reliable than Kobo's.

But yeah. The Aura looks really nice. I want one
