I'm not the best photographer with my phone, but hopefully it gives you a better idea. The third photo shows the notch on the back so you can open the rubber cover. The last two are a comparison to my Auro HD case.

Nice piece of...awning you got there on your H2O

I got the same one coming in a few days, looks really smooth; how would you say is the build quality? Does it feel sturdy? Is the device seated securely? Great shots

I have a Gecko Genuine Leather cover for my Kobo Glo so I was confident the build quality would be good and this one is no different. If feels sturdy and the grip is good to hold. The reader fits much tighter in the cover then the Glo did and there's no fear of it accidentally sliding out.

One thing that I don't like is that if I fold the cover all the way back behind the reader it puts it to sleep. I think the magnet in the cover might be too strong. This might be a deal breaker for some. If I keep a finger between the cover and the back it's OK. If you like reading with the cover folded behind I would not recommend this cover.

It doesn't turn on in the laptop bag, where it fits snugly; it has turned on in my purse, where it moves around a lot.

I don't mind the shape of the back, I just think the little plastic triangle up top is weird. And I also fold it back when reading but it seems to hold up fine for that. I don't regret buying the case exactly -- but I also didn't have a choice if I wanted the H2O immediately, which I did as my Glo barely made it through the summer.

The first case I bought for my Glo had a issue with the front cover where it would shift up/down inside the laptop bag. A couple of time I looked in and the Glo was, um, glowing. I checked the H2O cover before I bought it and it has much less movement when I push on a corner.

Not intending to buy the h20 but it did make me want to browse the accessories again on kobo here in the UK and i noticed that an Aura sleepcover in Aqua now retails for £41.85 !

I just got mine through today and agree completely, I even gave Gecko some feedback on that. The other issue is that the cover makes it very hard to adjust the brightness by running your finger down the left side of the screen.

Got mine today as well in black. The cover fits consummately; no qualms except what simond indicated about the left side of the screen. Prompted me to increase margins. Sorry for the sparing quality, here is a picture:

Not that I've found yet, though I have left feedback for them hoping they'll suggest something

This is bad news. I don't have my cover yet, but is there any way to place thin material behind the reader to prevent the magnet from triggering the sleep? Maybe a thin piece of sheet metal?

Sounds like the Gecko cover is right out since it has this serious flaw with turning on sleep mode just by folding back the cover. I do fold back the cover and since I cannot do this, Gecko is right out.

For anyone interested. I contacted Gecko to ask about availability of a Slimfit case for the Kobo H2O. This is their reply:
Quote:
Herewith we can inform you that we will have Slimfit cases for the H2O probably by the end of this month.
Obviously, I've no idea how good this item will be but based on my previous Gecko purchases I'm hopeful. The Slimfits for both Kobo Glo and Aura6" are excellent items. Neither have any problem with triggering sleep mode just by folding back the cover. I didn't try their AuraHD Slimfit because by the time it was released I'd already bought one of those cheap ebay ones sold by many vendors.
