Actually, they're waiting for the flexible screens for this. When they come out, old eReaders will be used to wrap the F&Cs...

You don't get it : it's not possible to wrap anything with ereaders that aren't flexible, so what is totally new is that when you'll get a fish and chips, you'll get a brand new flexible kobo ereader to wrap it (and you should look to have a screen wiper too as your ereader will naturally get greasy with your fish and chips... CQFD (in French it's an acronym for "Ce Qu'il Faut Démontrer" which can be translated by "what is to be demonstrated", I don't know if it exists in English)

OK: Now I'm confused.

Are you saying that you would wrap your Kobo in a pike, with potato chips on the side? Wouldn't the teeth bite into the substrate? And wouldn't the potato chip crumbs wreck havoc with the infrared on the Kobo?

I thought that this would be a light-hearted thread on displaying our infinite ignorance of what Kobo will come out with toward the end of the year. After all, not ONE SINGLE PERSON has inside information on what they'll do!

I now see this very serious post above - and one that can potentially damage and make smelly our beloved Kobos - and I am flabbergasted.

ENOUGH ALREADY! STOP WITH THE SERIOUS POSTS!

Good to know! I believe the closest thing in English would be "It is yet to be seen."

I'm not quite sure as "CQFD" is used to prove that what you've just said is yet demonstrated Has this expression the same meaning ? I think it's something like : "That is the point" or something like that. Googling for a translation, I get "QED" (Quod erat demonstradum) but it's Latin not English

It exists in English, but it's Latin. Q.E.D. Quod Erat Demonstradum, "that which was to be shown", from an earlier Greek phrase.

Our resident expert on Latin is Harry.

ADDED: I just realized that my tone above might be perceived as rude or abrupt, but I do not mean at all to take anything away from Paul.

The real problem Kobo people are facing is actually the smell because saucy meal, fish and chips and french cheese are smelly... That is why we can't have any further schedule about the release of the new device(s)...

I was thinking that to wrap a fish and chips, you'll need a (very) big ereader... or for the same price as before, you'll have so small a portion of fish and chips that people will become very angry and that's just the step before the Revolution (to be understood as the French Revolution in 1789).

Ah Ha!! They are one step ahead. Despite the complaining by everyone the flush bezel and capacitive touch was a taster for the new unreleased, unconfirmed, unsubstantiated, non-lighted, flexible fish'n chip wrap that (provided it doesn't get thrown out) also doubles as an ereader.

The next Kobo will be the Hum (not like music, but short for humiliation). It will make snide comments about your book choices - out loud and preferably when you're on public transport.
