Hehe well there's always room for more standards.

I think the idea with the latest KSM version was to avoid putting mods in /mnt/onboard/.kobo and that seems sensible to me. KSM now looks for koreader in /mnt/onboard/.adds

I have also updated it to use the .adds directory instead of the .kobo directory. The .adds directory seems to be the new standard place to put add-ons.
Thanks to you for use. I like the simple menu and also prepared a more option menu but failed to recognised multiple touch zone, so i left it out.
That version was made before tshering used his /add directory and like anyone seems to use advboot... never released a modified version.

Well, it isn't a standard by itself but for me (and many others) KSM is the main program to use kobo so like it use /add directory to install it's in fact a standard.
About /usr/local/<Modname> thanks, thanks and thanks because it simplify my own mod version of official firmwares

This is unfortunately true! I will have to move KSM (or at least parts of it) to the system partition, even though I do not like the idea.

Could somebody confirm that advboot is running without issues on aura h2o, with fw 3.17.0 and point to the exact version of advboot used.

In theory you can use the 3121 version, but you must take note that fw 3.17.0 have shickel active and can do problems. I can't confirm you because I never used this 3.17.0 nor 3.17.1 (because shickel bussines). I recomend you disable shickel before try advboot.

Version 3.12.1 here
Also you can use version 3.13.1 found here

About the fantastic GeoffR patches (for disable shickel), see here

What firmware version for Glo is most preferrable for advboot, considering, I only use android on external sd card, and now want to setup Koreader through advboot.
Also, can android be launched through advboot?
Thanks!

I don't have a Glo but I have checked the last update (3.19.xxxx) and seems to be compatible without more changes.

Thanks. I received exactly this version via Kobo Desktop(3.19.5613). And dual-boot patch works on it. Now, I'm a bit confused, which version of advboot to install - for firmware 2.10 - 3.10 or for firmware 3.20 and up?

It looks like the 3.13.1 referenced has the koreader folder in the "mnt/onboard/.adds" folder, I don't know what advboot does if it can't find the koreader folder. Perhaps not install, or not show the menu/selection page, but if advboot got installed I would think that the menu would show, even without koreader.

Luck;
Ken

I tried with koreader-kobo-arm-linux-gnueabihf-v2015.11-11-g16509e2 and the 3.13.1 pack (which seems ok to me). Will try again this afternoon

Got it working.

But the loader screen did not display correctly (just got some fuzzy lines on the screen with no images at all to press), so I have to tap blindly on the screen to load one or the other reader software...

The 3.13.1 pack is evidently not updated for the Glo HD. You can try replace in .../mnt/onboard/.adds/advboot/init_run/90_bootselect.sh (or .adds/advboot/init_run/90_bootselect.sh, if you edit it on the device)
Code:
	dragon|dahlia)
by
Code:
	dragon|dahlia|alyssum)
This might possibly not resolve the display problem, but the selection fields might be rather where you expect them. Currently the values of the Mini are used.

Forget to mention I already did that with the same result. The field are easier to tap, though.

Then the only thing left to do is to convert the image to the Glo HD resolution (and modify the above mentioned script file accordingly).
